From October 18th to 26th 2008 Toowoomba will celebrate its 3rd annual Family Week.

It all began in 2006 when a group of Toowoomba community and business leaders came together to discuss the need to promote our city as a 'family friendly' community and to celebrate and support our city's greatest asset - 'families'.  Family Week Toowoomba - held in the last full week of October - was established. 

Family Week has been enthusiastically embraced by the Toowoomba community with hundreds of people participating in Family Week activities and events across our city in both 2006 and 2007.

Family Week is all about community involvement.  It's about every person, family, neighbourhood, club, business and organisation participating by organising their own Family Week activity or event.
Why not one big public Family Week event?......because many small community-based activities are more effective in establishing support networks and increasing a 'sense of belonging' in our city.

Family Week Toowoomba is a community funded initiative.  We are privileged to have the support and guidance of an Advisory Committee made up of a number of business, civil and community leaders.  (The Advisory Committee is listed on this website.)
